Yoga Shala by the Sea

Yoga Shala by the Sea is a charming historical building and one of the most iconic and sacred yoga practice spaces in the area, since 1988, and the past 31 years as our beloved Yoga Center of Carmel. It is a charming location, with natural light and fluid air flow. There is ample parking and is located just blocks to Carmel beach and downtown Carmel.

Our mission is to offer and hold sacred space for the generous practice of yoga. To provide an integral and safe shala, known as an abode or a home for the yoga community to come together, generate experiential knowledge and rest in the awareness of the body, spirit, mind union.

We are delighted to have a dedicated teaching staff with a diverse, knowledgeable and gifted group of instructors on our team that embody effective and soulful practices. Classes and workshops are offered in traditional forms of yoga as well as other limbs of of yoga and modalities of wellness and healing.

Outdoor classes and workshops will be offered at the Sunset Outdoor Terrace. Located to the left and a couple of steps above the main entrance doors of the auditorium of the Sunset Cultural Center.
