We are a nonprofit that is dedicated to keeping Carmel beautiful, safe, and inviting through maintenance and improvement projects and community engagement programs. Partnering with the Carmel Public Works Department we have made significant improvements to Scenic Pathway, Forest Theater and Devendorf Park as well as little known gems such as Vista Lobos Park and the Sculpture Garden at the Cherry Center for the Arts and many others. Our Community Engagement Programs include Median Minders where Carmelites can adopt median islands, easements and other unique City-owned spots in town and make their own improvements. Tree Tenders allows residents to grow oak and pine seedlings until they are planted in our urban forest. Our Pick Up Posse is committed to reducing litter.
We have recently become an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful which is a national organization that has over 700 affiliates committed to beautification and litter reduction. By learning from their over 67 years of experience, educational and marketing programs and networking with other affiliates we will help make Carmel litter-free and make us a showcase of proper recycling.
You can help out by volunteering on one of our projects, joining in the fun of our Engagement Programs, lending us your landscaping company here and there or donating to our general fund or a specific project. You can also help us by getting educated about our litter reduction and recycling efforts. Carmel deserves more than being special, it deserves to be spectacular and together we can make that happen!
