Gallery MAR Carmel Announces Expansion
(Carmel, California) Gallery MAR Carmel is pleased to announce our latest expansion; our new North Gallery space.
“For the last few years we have been feeling a little cramped at our current location,” says Thomas Cushman, Co-Founder of Gallery MAR Carmel. “We wanted to showcase more excellent work from our current painters and sculptors as well as bring in several additional high-level artists. We just needed more wall space … so we went out and got some”, he concludes enthusiastically.
The new location is not quite two blocks North from the current location, which will continue to operate. The additional location is still on Dolores, still in the heart of Carmel, just on the opposite side of the street and closer to 5th.
“After five years of sharing fine art in Carmel-by-the-Sea, we are expanding the gallery to better serve our collectors and artists, and also to share the experience that our friends and guests have come to know and to love,” says Maren Mullin, the other Co-Founder of Gallery MAR Carmel.
Gallery MAR Carmel North is in the same space once occupied by Gallerie Amsterdam, and most recently by Nematic Gallery. “The gallery has A LOT of windows and natural light. Moreover, it has excellent street presence, many large walls and a wide open, contemporary feel,” reports Cushman.
Gallery MAR Carmel prides itself on showing museum-quality, contemporary artwork. We represent local, regional and national artists. We have Artist Receptions often and so are constantly changing the work in the gallery and the feel of the gallery rooms. We strive to develop long-term associations with collectors, to help them curate a personal and unique collection. Our watchwords are quality, elegance and approachability.

Since its establishment in 2008 in Park City, Utah, and now in Carmel, Gallery MAR has been a place where brilliant artistic visions meets the everyday lives of collectors around the globe.
