Carmel Chamber Website and Staff Recognized at Chamber Conference

The Chamber of Commerce website at www.carmelchamber.org was recognized as well as two of the Chamber staff at the chamber industry conference last week in Los Angeles. The website was recognized as "one of the best" at the meeting of the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.).

Also recognized were staff members Lee Larrew and Krystlyn Giedt. Larrew, the Chamber’s Director of Operations, went through a graduation ceremony from the 3-year Academy for chamber executives, which includes 18 three-hour classes as well as additional independent study outside of the classroom.

Krystlyn Giedt, Operations Specialist at the Chamber, was named to the Emerging Leaders Advisory Council. The Council was formed to identify & recognize future leaders (all under 40) in W.A.C.E. and the chamber of commerce industry. Members of the Council will be asked to provide program feedback and ideas for W.A.C.E. Giedt joins other emerging leaders from California, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Texas and Colorado.

The Carmel Chamber of Commerce serves the business community of Carmel-by-the-Sea and surrounding communities and has a membership of over 500 members. The offices have recently moved to the Carmel Plaza 3rd floor where the Chamber also run the Visitor Center on the Ocean Avenue level.
