Event Description:
Paul Miller has been publisher and owner of The Carmel Pine Cone for 27 years. He started his journalism career as a copy boy for Walter Cronkite and spent 14 years in traveling the world for CBS and NBC network news, including 4 years as bureau chief in Israel, before moving to the Monterey Peninsula in 1987. He has worked in news on television, radio, print and the internet, starting in the old days when journalists were supposed to be objective and continuing to today, when partisanship seems to be everywhere. In his talk, he will provide an inside view of how the news we all consume is prepared, explain how to get “real” news, and provide updates about the important stories of today in Carmel.
