Event Description:

At the September 30th CASI Youth Mentoring Event, you'll have the unique opportunity to learn from and interact with noted graphic and digital artist Katie Bruzzone. She will present an overview of her notable career path and share tips on creative and efficient note-taking. This is an exceptional chance for young people to gain insights on more effective methods of taking notes from classes, podcasts, or other presentations. Katie will be the keynote speaker, and then we will break out into art mentoring and science/economics writing mentoring sessions.

The September 30th free event will take place at the Community Shared Spaces in the Carmel Barnyard. The event is open to the public and will take place between 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm. It is geared toward interested middle schoolers, high schoolers, and college students, with the adult public also welcome to attend. After the keynote presentation, there will be time to meet our featured speaker and a Q&A session. Subsequent to the keynote presentation, California Arts and Sciences Institute mentors in science and economics will be present to discuss the 2024/2025 CASI Student Writing Contest.

Science, Forensics, Economics and Art History Mentoring:  An update will be given to middle school, high school and college students, who are interested in writing an original paper in science, economics, or art history.
