In November, Creative Connections (Carmel Bohemian Club) is honored to host a special panel discussion on the rich history of Japanese Americans on the Monterey Peninsula. Local historian, Tim Thomas, and Larry Oda, National President of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL), will delve into the profound impact of Japanese immigrants, particularly in the abalone diving industry and the enduring lessons we can draw from their internment experiences.
