Please join us at The Cottages of Carmel for a screening of the PBS FRONTLINE film, Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters  in the End. Based on the bestselling book written by Dr. Atul Gawande, MD, MPH, this documentary explores the hopes of patients and families facing terminal illness and their relationships with the  physicians who treat them. Following the film, Philip M. Geiger of Hospice Giving Foundation and  Meggie Pina with Alliance of Aging will lead a discussion on how to have these difficult conversations ahead of a medical crisis.
